CAREER

Hervé MANOKA is a writer and a director who is to be followed with the utmost interest. He is a Parisian and a child of the world, born in Kinshasa, Congo. His passion for the cinema was followed by a training in the audiovisual sector and led him to favour the writing of film scripts. He doesn't lack ideas : his repertoire is boundless. He is particularly keen on art in general (painting, photography, music ...)

This young film-maker is not only interested in his community but in the "human being". Considering Africa as his biological parents and France as his foster parents, he carries in his heart and on his shoulders  the continent which gave him life and the country which gives him a lot of self- confidence.

He is currently involved in the making of his first film "La Feuille effleurée", a fictional documentary which tells the story of six teenagers suffering from psychosis and autism. Thanks to a supernatural power, they have become journalists and worldwide reporters. Their newspaper relates all the encounters they had on this long journey.
His work mainly focuses on making people discover and understand some differences, change their outlook which is all too often indifferent or hostile towards those suffering from a handicap, from a cinematic point of view.
