In a media library near Paris, six mentally ill teenagers of all ages and various origins, MAXIME,
MARCUS, TONY, JAMAL, AMINE and SARRA take part in the newspaper workshop which is run by two special needs educators in their thirties, THOMAS and STEPHANIE.
They usually meet three times a month in order to design the newspaper for their centre and for other institutions in France, in Senegal and in Canada. The paper, called "La Feuille effleurée", aims to relate the facts and the events that occur in the daily life of people with a handicap. Their journalistic mission is to convey the thoughts, the wishes and the experiences of various handicapped persons in their institution and in several other specialized centres in relation to various cultural activities through the four seasons of the year. THOMAS and STEPHANIE help the six reporters create and comment on a news story column which is distributed and read by the whole joint team of the centre. MAXIME,
MARCUS, TONY, JAMAL, AMINE and SARRA are not ordinary reporters, they have one thing in common : like angels, they have the ability to understand and to communicate with all the residents of the centre. They can also collect messages and communicate with residents who have a language problem
